How we evaluate racket reviews

Updated October 21, 2026. This method applies to pages that explicitly identify themselves as Padel.fyi syntheses of external reviews. Older records may use different source formats; the disclosure on each page is the relevant guide.

The Padel.fyi Team uses AI-assisted synthesis to organize external review evidence and draft these racket summaries. The cited reviewers provide the playing observations; the team byline does not imply firsthand testing.

We distinguish specifications from playing opinions

Manufacturer listings establish model identity and construction. We check the generation and variant, because standard, Attack, CTRL, Lite and other versions can behave differently. Manufacturer performance marketing is not independent playing evidence. Conflicting specifications are disclosed rather than silently reconciled.

Factory weight ranges, their displayed midpoints and reviewer-measured configurations are different values. Overgrips, protectors and optional weights can change total mass and balance. A sample measurement does not replace the factory specification.

External playtests inform the buying advice

For the October 2026 expansion batch, each page considers at least two substantive sources from distinct publishers, including direct playing experience. We inspect source captions or text, identify the relevant model segments and link performance claims to timestamps. Automatic captions can contain errors, especially model names; ambiguous passages do not establish a claim.

We do not claim that Padel.fyi personally tested a racket when we are summarizing other people's work. Two sources agreeing is useful context, not laboratory proof. Disagreements about power, handling or feel remain visible because technique, setup and conditions vary.

What the scores mean

Where a page labels scores as editorial interpretations, the numbers are Padel.fyi's reading of qualitative evidence, not numbers issued by the reviewer. We score only supported dimensions among power, control, sweet spot and maneuverability. The overall is the arithmetic mean of scored dimensions. Display rounding may differ from the exact mean documented in the page.

A separate source's overall verdict is not silently converted into four dimension ratings. Missing evidence stays unscored; we do not insert a neutral score. Comfort, spin and durability are not inferred merely to fill a chart.

These scores are an editorial aid, not a calibrated scientific scale. Small differences between rackets reviewed by different people should not decide a purchase. Read the fit, downside, source disagreement and configuration notes before comparing the numbers.

Commercial relationships and buying links

We identify disclosed retailer affiliations, supplied equipment and discount codes. Absence of a disclosure does not prove that equipment was independently purchased. A promotional introduction is not treated as a personal playtest.

Manufacturer suggested prices are not live offers. When we have not verified a buying destination for the exact generation, the page says so instead of inventing price or stock. A manufacturer link helps check identity; it does not guarantee regional availability.

What the evidence cannot establish

Short playtests generally cannot prove long-term durability, injury prevention or a universal power ranking. New model names and revised features do not establish a meaningful upgrade without a relevant comparison. We recommend trying a racket in your intended setup when feel, balance or timing is a deciding factor.

Browse the racket database and follow each page's source links to assess the evidence yourself.
