Head Extreme Pro 2023

8.0 / 10
Based on 2 expert reviews

Best for: Very similar to the Delta Pro with a few improvements: I liked my aerial game more, I liked its rigidity which gives me control at high speeds, I like the soft end cap. In terms of power, it works very similar to the Delta Pro. Recommended for those who are strong enough to handle the high balance and weight.

Shape: Diamond
Weight: 370g
Balance: Head Heavy

Pros

  • I like this racket in higher speeds than slower, but you have control in all speeds, you just need to make sure you follow through on slow shots in order to make the ball land deep enough. I feel a lot in control when I put pressure with my volleys. I through a lot of balls into the glass if I arrived late and didn't throw the ball down properly.
  • Really nice sweet spot
  • Maneuverability is not its strong point, it costs you and sometimes you can arrive late. It's not super technical from the back due to its great sweet spot. If you have issues with maneuverability, consider requesting a 360g model. Volleys are nice if you have time, but changes in direction can require a lot of effort from you.

Cons

  • May not suit all play styles

About the Head Extreme Pro 2023

Extreme Pro

Head’s Extreme Pro is the updated Delta Pro, which is our top suggestion. Arturo Coello will play with this racket. There are a few minor changes to this racket from the Delta Pro.

Weight

The Extreme Pro’s target weight, at 370, is 5 grams lower than the Delta Pro’s. We welcome this slight increase in maneuverability at the expense of a smidge of power. No one is called the Extreme Pro a weak racket.

Silicon end cap

Head has introduced a silicone end cap to their new models in 2023, beginning with the Speed line (the new form of the Alpha line). We welcome this addition as it makes grabbing the racket from the very bottom of the handle, which we do often while hitting viboras, super comfortable.

Extreme spin

The new Extreme Spin roughness runs a slightly different pattern. One reviewer described it as slightly less marked than the Delta Pro’s.

"This racket is for more advanced players, such as tournament players who to have a speed-weapon with a very comfortable but precise feeling when hitting the ball."
