Pros

  • “Harder than I expected!” Great for players seeking a medium-hard touch and central sweet spot.
  • Smashes: I’m quite happy with the power of this racket. I needed to get used to hitting the ball in the centrally-located sweet spot, rather than higher up in the racket face. In this way, it reminded me of the Nox AT10 18K. You get much better power, of course, when you make contact in the sweet spot.
  • Back of the court: works well, I liked it more when I was playing at higher speeds with its medium-hard touch, but it has control at all speeds. Ball output is not super high. It took me some time to get used to its weight.

Cons

  • May not suit all play styles

About the Kuikma LS Pro

LS Pro

A few years ago, when Kuikma launched their €99 carbon fiber PR990, padel players were shocked by the quality they were able to produce for such a price. They quickly won over a skeptical public.

In late 2022, Kuikma announced that after a year of working closely with Maxi Sánchez and Lucía Sainz, they are launching the new Pro line. This includes the diamond-shaped MS Pro and the teardrop-shaped LS Pro for a price of…🥁…€200.

The two models integrate all of the top technology, including some that our reviewers haven’t seen elsewhere. Here’s a non-exhaustive list:

  • Surface: Textreme® carbon fiber (18K) and 3 layers of fiberglass

  • Frame: double tubular, EVA-filled

  • Core: Double Foam: black lower density EVA in the interior, with a thin layer of white higher density EVA near the surface of the racket face

  • Vibration reduction: Shock Block silicon strap in the handle, certified by Testea

The LS Pro is a medium-hard, versatile, teardrop-format racket for intermediate and up players. Kuikma has packed in all of the technology, much of which has been certified by the Testea lab at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, into this racket, which our reviewers reported gave it fantastic sensations.

Despite not being designed for pure power, its medium-hard touch and medium balance do pack a punch.

Compare to the Nox AT10 18K.
