Definition Essentially is a “re-do”. This occurs when a serve hits the net and lands in the service box when a shot is not visibly in or out to both sides, or when an out-of-court obstruction, such as a ball from another court lands in the court. A let may also be played during player equipment malfunctions, such as a racket breaking or a ball falling out of a player’s pocket.
