Metalbone or Adipower: Which Adidas power racket to buy?

We compare the benefits of the Metalbone and Adipower power padel rackets.

As one of the largest producers of padel rackets, Adidas has 2 top of the line sub-brands: Metalbone and Adipower. This racket, of course, also has the Metalbone weight and balance customization, which allows you to reduce the weight by ~12g and increase the balance by ~0.5cm.

Metalbone HRD 3.2

The Metalbone HRD has Adidas’s High Memory core, which makes the touch medium hard and tends to increase the balance slightly. Its harder touch will generate more power and control, while reducing the size of the sweet spot, which is located above the center of the racket face.

Adipower 3.2

The Adipower is in every way a more technical racket than the Metalbone.

It is harder, has a higher balance, and has more spin. It is slower, but more powerful. Its sweet spot is smaller and higher than the Metalbone HRD’s. We recommend this racket for truly strong, power-oriented player who are also considering rackets like the Head Delta Pro, Extreme Pro.

Adipower Multiweight

The Adipower Multiweight is a small modification of the Adipower that includes 9 grams of weights that are positioned around the side of the racket face. The positioning of these weights means that they contribute more to the racket’s balance, therefore you’ll be able to achieve a balance change of roughly 1 centimeter, or double what the Metalbone offers.
