Babolat has three lines:
The Viper line for advanced players
The Vertuo line for beginner players
Each line has three models for different playing styles:
The Technical for powerful attackers
The Counter for counterattackers and defenders
2023’s Babolat Air Veron is the French brand’s racket designed for intermediate players who thrive in padel’s aerial game, with its bandejas and viboras. This year’s model is the same as last year’s with a few minor changes (the following applies to the entire Veron line):
The paint job
The handle’s bulge is slightly higher
The racket now has a strap interchange system
Its hybrid diamond shape is designed for intermediate players who like a fast game.
This racket weighs 10 grams less than the other rackets of the Veron line, which makes it agile while sacrificing stability and the size of the sweet spot.
The Air Veron has a medium touch and a small sweet spot. But our reviewers remark that its low weight helps them locate the ball in the sweet spot in time.
Babolat uses “Carbon Flex” across the Veron line for “dynamic power”. Carbon Flex is their name for a mix of carbon fiber and fiberglass that offers a compromise between power and comfort.
The core is composed of a medium-density EVA.
This racket is not low on power. It has a slightly lower balance than the Technical Veron, which brings its maximum power slightly lower; however, its high maneuverability results in a racket that is easy to accelerate through the swing.
Slightly more versatile than the Technical Veron, its balance and weight can be easily altered with the addition of a protector on the top of the racket head.
