Varlion Bourne Summum Prisma

8.8 / 10
Based on 4 expert reviews

Best for: This is a racket with tons of power that suits medium-high level players who prefer a racket with a medium hard touch and like to play fast. It will make you work a lot at the back of the court. I'm using this racket in summer - I felt comfortable with it from the beginning.

Shape: Diamond
Weight: 353g
Balance: Head Heavy

Where to Buy

Varlion Bourne Summum Prisma padel racket - front view

Pros

  • Touch is medium hard, on the hard side, hard for people who are not accustomed to hard rackets. When the ball hits the surface, it doesn’t enter the foam very much, but you can still feel it well (compared to other hard rackets)
  • Sweet spot - larger than last years, not big, but better than a lot of rackets with softer touch than this one
  • It's difficult to use in the back but it gives you a lot of control to put the ball where you like. It doesn’t allow you much margin for error, technique has to be medium high or more, i’m use to this and like it a lot but

Cons

  • May not suit all play styles

"I adore this racket, but it is suitable for advanced players only. It is very aggressive, very rigid. Its sudden impact requires an arm that knows how to give fast shots and react to the fast blows."
