Head introduced the Speed series branding as tennis racket line jointly developed with Novak Djokovic years ago. This year (2023), they have launched the Speed series of padel rackets to replace the Alpha Series. The Speed series is made up of teardrop shaped rackets of various weights and surfaces. All have carbon fiber + Graphite frames, silicon vibration-reducing end caps, Power FOAM cores, and smooth surfaces.
The Speed Pro X is the most rigid racket of this line, with a 12K carbon fiber surface, which gives it a medium-hard touch.
The most striking characteristics of this racket are its high weight and high balance. Many of our reviewers measured weights around 380 grams (marketed around 375 +/- 10g) and balances around 27.5cm.
This racket is medium-hard, has a high balance, and is heavy. It will generate a lot of power in smashes, but it will be difficult when defending fast low balls.
