🔔 Review of 2024 model: Vertex 04 Comfort.
Martin di Nenno’s Vertex 03 CMF (Comfort) is a softer, less expensive alternative to the Vertex. It has a medium balance at roughly 26 centimeters.
Similarities to the Vertex 03It is the same shape as the standard Vertex 03 and comes with the premium Bullpadel Vertex features, including the Air React channels, small holes in the frame at the neck designed to improve maneuverability, and the Metalshield protector on the head of the racket.
Differences with the Vertex 03Three main differences in the racket’s construction when compared with the standard Vertex 03:
Softer surface
No Custom Weight
No Hesacore
The Vertex 03 CMF’s surface is Fibrix, Bullpadel’s proprietary mix of fiberglass and carbon fiber, which plays as if it’s mostly fiberglass due to its softness. This increases ball output and the size of the sweet spot, making this racket easier to defend with.
No Custom WeightThis racket doesn’t have the Custom Weight inserts of the standard Vertex 03. Reviewers suggested using an adhesive protector if a higher balance is desired.
The absence of Custom Weight inserts in the bottom of the handle allows the wrist strap to exit the end cap at the center of the handle, which reviewers reported, avoids the annoying sensations from the wrist strap during game play.
No HesacoreThe Hesacore grip is notably absent, but of course can be purchased with the pile of cash saved from purchasing the Vertex CMF instead of the standard Vertex.
Comparison with the Hack 03 CMFA more appropriate comparison for the Vertex 03 CMF is actually the Hack 03 CMF. The Vertex CMF has the Vertex shape, which is slimmer at the bottom, making the Vertex models more aggressive, with smaller sweet spots and higher balances.
Additionally, the Vertex 03 CMF comes with a sandblasted finish for adding spin to volleys and viboras.
Lastly, the similarities. Both CMF versions sit at the same price range (currently around €225) and replace the carbon surface with the softer Fibrix. Both lack Custom Weight and Hesacore.
