Asics Gel Resolution 9 is the updated model of the Gel Resolution line.

Asics breaks its padel shoes into two categories: control and speed. The Gel Resolution sits at Asics' top of the line for control

This line was originally created for baseline tennis players, prioritizing stability in lateral movements, and was adapted to padel with changes in the sole and midsole.

Note that this shoe comes in two options: the classic clay tennis herringbone sole for sandy courts and the newly developed modified herringbone for new curled turf courts.

This shoe excels for players who desire stability. We recommend these for those with experience or fear of rolling their ankle.

It's also extremely durable. After a year of roughly 3 times per week on the court, this shoe still looks basically brand new.

Its stability and robustness comes with a cost: weight and breathability.

It's a heavy shoe whose rigidity does not allow for the ventilation of the foot.

I’m surprised by how much more I liked these than the previous versions of the Gel Resolution. A top pick for ankle sprainers; avoid if you have bunion issues.

The “DynaWall” has ridiculous side to side containment", and the heel counter has extra bunting and padding. The external heel counter connects with the DynaWall, which gives you a lot of structure.

There’s a layer of gel underneath the toe and the heel. The external structure of the shoe allows the foam to be more forgiving, which maintaining the support you need. Great for extreme toe draggers - very wear resistant - the ultimate shoe for “upper durability”

The upper is a mix of a mesh weave topped with a urethane shell.

Great bounce performance due to the Flyte Foam, consistent shock absorption. These shoes are heavy, but they give me a lot of energy back due to the bounce effect.

The Gel Resolution 9s are very similar to the Gel Resolution 8s with a updated materials in the upper, which felt a bit more snug and had a reduced break-in time. It’s a really stable and durable shoe.
