Category shots
Definition Perhaps the most famous shot in padel. It comes from the Spanish word for tray because the way the player holds the racket upon impact resembles a waiter bringing a tray of food to a table in a restaurant. The bandeja is a defensive overhead hit, often with slice, to keep opponents in the back of the court. It is usually used as part of an attempt to maintain the net.
Etymology It comes from the Spanish word for tray because the way the player holds the racket upon impact resembles a waiter bringing a tray of food to a table in a restaurant.
